A Realistic Experience

The Vascular Simulations Replicator provides a realistic experience when performing endovascular procedures. The user interface is the angiographic environment in combination with any endovascular access product or device utilized to perform an actual clinical case. In addition, customized silicone vessels duplicating the actual anatomy and pathology to be treated can be manufactured. For the first time, interventionalists will be able to practice a procedure with the identical anatomy and pathology they will ultimately treat clinically.

CEREBROVASCULATURE

The arterial system from the carotid bifurcation to the intracranial circulation as well as any pathology can be replicated. Our proprietary brain gel mimics the compliance of vessels in the subarachnoid space and surrounding brain.

FLUID

Our clear blood analog fluid duplicates the viscosity of human blood and mimics the friction coefficients as endovascular devices, wires and catheters traverse the vascular system.

FUNCTIONAL HEART AND VALVES

The left atrium and ventricle “beat” to recreate pulsatile flow with a Windkessel effect identical to a clinical waveform. Any artificial heart valve can be installed in the Replicator for testing.

FEMORAL ACCESS PORTS

Both femoral arteries can be catheterized with standard arterial access sheaths.

POWER SUPPLY AND CONTROLS

The Replicator is controlled through a wireless Bluetooth system. Physiologic parameters such as heart rate, cerebral or peripheral blood flow can be individually adjusted as needed. A heating system brings the temperature of the fluid to 37 degrees Celsius within minutes to accommodate nitinol self-expanding devices.
